We are excited to kick off our 2015 Fan Fest guest announcements with animator and director Tom Cook! Tom has also worked on Tarzan, Flash Gordon, Blackstar, Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, Brown Hornet, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, She-Ra Princess of Power, Ghostbusters, Lone Ranger, Zorro, The Kids Super Power Hour with Shazam (Captain Marvel), Hero High and the futuristic Western Bravestarr.
Attention Film Makers! You can now submit your films for the 2016 Phoenix Comicon Film Festival! With four days of non-stop film screenings, the Phoenix Comicon Film Festival is a premier festival for genre fare.
In past years we've accepted entries from around the world and winners have gone on to have their films noticed and distributed by major producers. We welcome not only genre fare such as horror, science fiction and fan films - documentaries, comedy, drama, crime thrillers, animation, family films and music videos have been among our past winners.
Memberships to Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest opened today and are now available! Following the success of last year's inaugural winter convention which had an attendance of 11,403, Fan Fest returns to the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona this December 4-6, 2015. Focusing on creators, artists, actors, costumers and exhibitors, Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest is growing into its own signature event in the Valley.
We listened to your feedback and prices for Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest 2015 are lower than last year! Pricing for Fan Fest 2015 isn't only lower, but also simplified. Rather than having multiple price increases in the months leading up to the convention, Fan Fest passes have a single price point before the show that raises slightly onsite. Full Event Memberships are $30 until December 3rd, then $35 onsite. Children 2 years old and younger are free to the event, and Sidekicks aged 3-12 are $5, regardless if purchased before or during the convention. For full pricing details, including passes for individual days, click on Memberships.
Hosting a pop culture and comic book convention at a venue normally associated with sporting events in the winter presents some opportunities unique to Fan Fest. Costume enthusiasts can take advantage of the cooler weather to display their talents. The outdoor space surrounding the Stadium will again feature activities for the whole family. Free parking is plentiful at the Stadium, and there is a variety of dining options available nearby at the Westgate Entertainment District.
Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest has again partnered with the Hampton Inn & Suites Glendale and the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa to provide an option for staying close to the action all weekend long. Hotel rooms at the Hampton can be booked now. Rooms at the Renaissance will be available soon.
Programming information and guest announcements will be announced in the next few months as Fan Fest approaches. For more information, please visit Phoenix Comicon on Facebook, Twitter, and online here at phoenixcomicon.com.
