Programming Support Staff

This is a fantastic entry level position and holds the opportunity for advancement into leadership per performance. The Programming Logistics Team works to determine the popularity of panels and programming events by counting the number of attendees at each event and issuing single question surveys to some of them. Rapid Resolution Staff

Programming Support Rapid Response Team members work to help quickly resolve the various issues that will arise during Phoenix Comicon. Issues range from technical, assisting with panellists needs, and controlling any lines that may emerge unexpectedly will go through the volunteers on our Rapid Resolution team. This position is an important part of the Programming Support Team, and those who enjoy a faster-paced job, thinking on their feet, and working on a team will find this to be an excellent position! Youth Activities Event Staff

Phoenix Comicon offers a lot of activities for children and teens, and we need your help to make 2015 spectacular! If you enjoy working with kids, you may want to help with the children/teens' Art Room, Activities, and LEGO room. Active, responsible, and creative volunteers are needed. Merchandise Event Staff

Ready to help attendees pick up some awesome Phoenix Comicon branded gear at the convention? We're looking for staff to operate our new Merchandise booth. You'll work with our Merchandise Manager and Coordinators before the convention for pre-sales, during the show, and after to help with inventory. Email jillian.squires@phoenixcomicon.com to apply.

Outreach Event Staff

The Marketing Team is looking for dynamic, outgoing, out-of-this-world individuals to sing Phoenix Comicon's praises. You'll work with local businesses and organizations and let them know how becoming a sponsor of the Phoenix Comicon 2015 will benefit their business. During the process you'll explain the opportunities available by becoming a sponsor. Line and Access Coordinator

Reports to Line & Access Control Manager.Time Requirement: Three 8-hour shifts plus additional time before the convention. Will manage a team of 6-15 volunteers. Expectations: Independently and effectively assess situations, and respond accordingly. Effectively manage volunteers and attendees during potentially stressful situations. Responsible for a safe and efficient environment for staff, attendees, guests and exhibitors. Duties may include: line control, event monitoring, patrolling, registration line management, Guest line management, and crowd control. Meet with Coordinators from other departments within Phoenix Comicon and assess their individual needs. Additional duties that may be unforeseen at this time. Line and Access Event Staff

We are looking for individuals with an outgoing positive attitude that are at least 18 years of age. Our volunteers need to be able to stand and move freely throughout their shift. We do need our volunteers to be available to work 18+ hours over the four days the convention is running. All volunteers must be upbeat, helpful, very customer service oriented and able to work independently with little supervision. Onsite Technology Staff

Phoenix Comicon has a lot of technology support to provide the best experience to members AND to the volunteers that help make the convention happen! We need volunteers that have at least basic technology/computer support and basic A/V skills but all skill levels desired. This team supports registration, panels, info desk, and more! Great opportunity to learn and network. 16 years (with parental consistent) or older. Desired shift needs of 4 hours each day Thursday through Sunday with volunteer opportunities needed leading up to the convention. Contact: Josh.Dick@phoenixcomicon.com.

Photo Booth Staff

Comicon members need your help getting their photos taken with our amazing guest list in 2015! Interested in being a part of the magic behind the scenes? Shifts are 4 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; leaving you plenty of time to attend your favorite panels and events! Photo Booth staff must be 18 or over.
