2013 Phoenix Comicon Film Fest

Phoenix Comicon seeks Filmmakers to to create an epic 2013 Film Festival!

Phoenix Comicon Film Festival is in its ninth year and has been growing steadily since its inception. Last year, in 2013, we experienced amazing growth with over 120 submissions from 14 different countries. Our submissions from Arizona filmmakers more than doubled. We hope to continue this growth while improving the filmmaker and viewer experience each year.

The Film Festival strives to celebrate all that is pop-culture -- from the nostalgic to the niche. We accept films of practically any length, of practically any genre, and practically any type. The short to the feature length. SciFi, Horror, Steampunk, Dystopia, Parody, etc. Web series, documentaries, Fan films, Music Videos, etc.

The Film Festival is primarily a competition film festival. “Best of” recognition is awarded in a number of categories; Best of Festival, Best of each film type, Best of genres and Best of Arizona.

The submission timeline this year is October 1st 2012 through January 31, 2013. If you have submitted before you may have noticed that we have moved up the timeline. This shift was in response to filmmaker feedback that requested more time to plan attendance to the convention should their film be selected. Filmmakers will be information of their selection status around the end of February 2013.
