We're starting a brand new team at Phoenix Comicon for 2015 and looking for a manager who has retail experience and is customer service oriented. In this role, you will recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of Coordinators and Event Staff who will sell Phoenix Comicon branded merchandise at the Convention. Hours will be required before, during and after the event.
The Merchandise Manager will work directly with the Marketing Director to determine products offered, quantities ordered, inventory and more, and needs to be someone who can adapt to the demands as this team grows. The Merchandise Coordinator will assist in the recruitment and training of staff, and oversee a team of 6 - 10 Event Staff who will be handling sales and inventory at the merchandise booth at Phoenix Comicon. Hours will be required before, during and after event. Needs to be someone who can adapt to the demands as this team grows, retail experience preffered. Do you love talking about Phoenix Comicon? Street Team is still looking for volunteers to join our Phoenix teams. As part of Street Team, you would go to events in Phoenix, talk to people to let them know what Comicon is and answer general event questions, and help recruit volunteers. The Marketing Team is looking for dynamic, outgoing, out-of-this-world individuals to sing Phoenix Comicon's praises. You'll work with local businesses and organizations and let them know how becoming a sponsor of the Phoenix Comicon 2015 will benefit their business. During the process you'll explain the opportunities available by becoming a sponsor. One of the perks of being a member of the Marketing Team is most of our work is done before the convention so you have a lot of time to enjoy the convention itself. We are looking for individuals with an outgoing positive attitude that are at least 18 years of age. Our volunteers need to be able to stand and move freely throughout their shift. We do need our volunteers to be available to work 18+ hours over the four days the convention is running. All volunteers must be upbeat, helpful, very customer service oriented and able to work independently with little supervision. Be a Phoenix Comicon 2015 Moderator! We're having two more open calls if you'd like to try your hand at moderating a panel for this year's convention. Be prepared to moderate a mock panel and stay for about 30-45 minutes. Moderators must be 18 or older.
Join us on Saturday, February 14th, from 1pm to 4pm in the West Building of the Phoenix Convention Center, or Saturday, February 28th at the Burton Barr Central Library.
Comicon members need your help getting their photos taken with our amazing guest list in 2015! Interested in being a part of the magic behind the scenes? Shifts are 4 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; leaving you plenty of time to attend your favorite panels and events! Photo Booth staff must be 18 or over.
